Nomi's January 2025 Product Updates

Bookkeeping

  • OCR Function: OCR helps convert paper documents, like invoices and receipts, into editable digital text. This technology scans images and recognises characters, making it easier to input data into accounting systems without manual typing. By automatically extracting important details (such as amounts, dates, and vendor names), OCR saves time, reduces errors, and speeds up bookkeeping tasks.
  • Move Transactions in Bulk: Moving transactions allows users to quickly transfer multiple entries from one ledger account to another. This feature saves time by eliminating the need to move each transaction manually.
  • Security: Encryption of a URL ensures that sensitive data transmitted through websites is secure from unauthorised access.
  • Credit Notification: This provides information to the users upon getting submission credits low and expiry.
  • Credit Log: Here users can see the list of clients that have been charged in monthly billing.

Payroll

  • The drag and drop feature has been implemented allowing users to preview files before uploading. this enhancement is one of the key additions for the January update.

Final Accounts

  • Enhanced Flexibility: Manually Segregate CT Adjustments for Periods Over 365 Days.

Users can now manually segregate CT adjustments into their desired periods, offering greater control and flexibility, when the period exceeds 365 days. Instead of relying on the automatic distribution based on the number of days, users can customise how adjustments are allocated across periods. This feature allows for more accurate and tailored financial reporting, aligning with specific business needs. However, by default, the system will still segregate the adjustments automatically based on the number of days, ensuring a consistent process unless the user opts for manual adjustments. This enhancement provides users with the best of both options.

  • Streamlined Process: Directly Attach CT Computation in Emails and Scheduled Emails.

Based on user feedback, we’ve enhanced the process by allowing users to directly attach the CT Computation while emailing or scheduling emails under the communication section. This improvement streamlines the workflow, making it easier for users to include the CT computation without the need for additional steps. Whether sending an immediate email or scheduling one for later, users can now seamlessly attach the necessary CT computation document, ensuring that all relevant information is included. This update provides more convenience and flexibility, improving the overall user experience and making the submission process more efficient and straightforward.

Self Assessment

  • Removal of Unused References from SA and PTR: Streamlined the system by eliminating redundant references, enhancing overall performance and maintainability.
  • Validation Enhancements for Tax Relief Claims: Implemented validations on the “Paying into registered pension schemes and overseas pension schemes” page to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
  • Improved Data Handling on SA multiple wizard screens: Added validations to prevent data saving across multiple wizard screens before navigation, ensuring smoother data entry and reducing errors.
  • Updated Pagination UI for Reports: Aligned the pagination design with the latest UI updates on the agent dashboard, enhancing user experience and consistency.
