Nomi March 2025 Updates: New Features for Accounting Firms
In March 2025, Nomi introduces key updates across its accounting software to enhance efficiency and user experience. These updates include stricter controls for bookkeeping billing, improved banking reconciliation, and seamless Zoho Books integration for final accounts. Payroll adjustments ensure compliance with the 2025-26 tax year, while self-assessment enhancements refine dashboard usability and data import features. Each update is designed to improve workflow, accuracy, and accessibility for users. Below are the key highlights for the Nomi product updates in March 2025.
Bookkeeping
- Implemented new logic for Active and Inactive status to prevent billing exploitation – Previously, users could mark clients as active or inactive at any time, allowing some partners to deactivate the bookkeeping module during billing periods and reactivate it when needed. Now, users can no longer change the status themselves and must contact Support for modifications.
- Enhanced Products and Services – Earlier, multiple issues in the products and services functionality limited its usability. We have now improved the customer experience by shifting this functionality from the server to the client side for a better user experience. Additionally, we have implemented validations and added new options to enhance its efficiency.
- Enhanced Unreconciled Bank Transaction Page – The banking reconciliation process has been improved by enhancing the Find and Match functionality. A bulk allocation option has also been introduced to save users time. Additionally, filters have been improved, allowing users to easily search for all transactions within the same category.
- Implementation of Inactive Bank Accounts – Users can now mark bank accounts as inactive when they are no longer in use or when businesses switch accounts. The inactive status will be displayed next to the bank name, ensuring bookkeepers avoid posting transactions to inactive accounts.
Payroll
For March, we have released updates for the 2025-26 tax year to ensure compliance with HMRC regulations. These updates include changes to National Insurance (NI), student loan thresholds, employment allowances, and other statutory adjustments. Employers can now process payroll seamlessly using the latest tax year settings, ensuring accurate calculations for PAYE, NI, and other deductions. These updates are essential for maintaining compliance and preventing discrepancies in payroll submissions.
