Nomi product key features update – August 2024

Bookkeeping

We are excited to announce a major update to the Agent Hub page, designed to streamline how accountants manage their clients and deadlines. This revamped interface makes it easier than ever to keep track of client statuses and deadlines with enhanced user-friendliness.

Key Improvements:

  • Simplified Client Management: Effortlessly mark clients as active or inactive through a more streamlined process.
  • Enhanced User Experience: The redesigned interface ensures that all necessary details are clearly visible and easily accessible.
  • Upgraded Client List Page: Previously, the client list displayed modules individually. Now, each client appears only once, making it easier to view and manage their information.

We are confident that these changes will greatly enhance your efficiency and overall experience with our platform.

Self-assesment

1. SA Internal Notes Visibility and Functionality

Enhanced internal notes with improved sorting, date, time, and user stamps.
Benefit: Streamlined documentation and easier tracking of changes.

2. SA Submission and PDF Modifications

Validated SA submissions, and modified PDF generation to include a zip file.
Benefit: Accurate submissions and organized document management.

3. Azure Function Implementation for SA Submissions

Integrated Azure Function for HMRC submissions and PDF generation.
Benefit: Automated processes and enhanced reliability.

Payroll

1. New Pink Payslip Template

We have introduced a new pink payslip template that aligns with the Nomi layout and colour scheme. This addition will be highly beneficial for our clients.

2. Prompt for Reason on Future FPS/EPS Resubmission

A prompt will now appear, requiring a reason when a future Full Payment Submission (FPS) is resubmitted. This feature ensures compliance with HMRC rules and regulations.

3. Pay ID Change Indicator Tag

A Pay ID change indicator tag has been added. When an employee’s Pay ID changes, this will be reported to HMRC, preventing the creation of duplicate employment records.

Final Accounts

1. CT adjustment page new UI with improved functionality

The CT adjustment page within the CT600 Tax return has undergone significant improvements with the introduction of a new user interface. This update brings a more intuitive and streamlined design, making it easier for users to navigate and complete their tasks efficiently.

The enhanced UI not only simplifies the adjustment process but also improves the overall user experience, reducing the time required to complete the CT600 tax return.

These changes reflect our commitment to providing a user-friendly platform that meets the evolving needs of our users, ensuring accuracy and ease in managing corporate tax adjustments.

2. Statement of movement in equity

We have introduced a new feature that integrates statements of movement in equity into the final account reports. This feature is specifically designed for the FRS 102 1A accounting standard and is available as an optional field. To include it in the final account report, users can navigate to the Accounts settings under Final Accounts, ensuring that the accounting standard is set to FRS 102 1A. Including these statements enhances transparency by providing a clearer view of equity changes over the reporting period.

This enhancement not only improves the accuracy of financial statements but also ensures a comprehensive presentation of all relevant information.

Benefits:

  • Enhanced Transparency: Clients gain a clearer understanding of how equity has changed over the reporting period, facilitating easier analysis and interpretation of financial statements.
  • Comprehensive Reporting: Clients can present a more complete picture of their financial position, which is particularly beneficial when sharing reports with stakeholders, investors, or auditors.
  • Flexibility: As this is an optional field, clients have the flexibility to include or exclude the statements based on their specific reporting needs, offering greater customisation of their final account reports.
