The long game - Nomi

2003

Walking onto the pitch – A new beginning

I still remember stepping onto UK soil in 2003, feeling like a batsman walking out to the crease for the first time—nervous, excited, and ready to take on whatever came my way. As a student, I knew I had to play smart, work hard, and stay patient if I wanted to build something meaningful.

2011

Scoring big – building a million-pound practice

By 2011, after years of grinding through tough innings, I had built a million-pound accounting practice. It felt like scoring a century after a long, hard-fought match. But behind the scoreboard, the game wasn’t as easy as it seemed. I was constantly on the back foot—drowned in paperwork, slowed down by outdated software, and spending more time handling inefficiencies than focusing on what truly mattered.

2012

A sticky wicket – the struggles of accountants

I found myself thinking: Why are accountants stuck playing defense? Why isn’t there a system that lets us go on the attack—automating processes, streamlining work, and helping us focus on strategy instead of just survival?

2014

Changing the game – the birth of Nomi

By 2014, I knew it was time to step up and change the game. If the right software didn’t exist, I would build it. I didn’t just want a tool—I wanted a power play for accountants. Something that would help firms hit boundaries with automation, eliminate time-consuming manual work, and let them focus on winning. And so, Nomi was born—not just out of frustration, but out of the belief that accountants deserved better.

2018

A tough innings – the early challenges

Like any new player in the field, the early years were tough. But by 2018, Nomi had proven its worth, driving a £5 million business and showing that with the right technology, accountants could take control of the game.

2021

The turning point – Nomi becomes the backbone of DNS

In 2021, we made a bold move—fully integrating Nomi into DNS Group. And just like that, compliance, once a slow and painful test match, turned into a fast-paced T20 game. With automation and seamless integrations, accountants could now focus on strategy and growth rather than getting stuck in the weeds of repetitive tasks.

2025

Leading the scoreboard – the future of accounting

Now, in 2025, Nomi isn’t just software—it’s a revolution. Built by accountants, for accountants, it’s designed to help you stop playing defence and start dominating the field. No more struggling with outdated systems. No more wasted time. Just a smart, seamless way to run your firm and stay ahead of the competition.

Time to hit It out of the park

I built Nomi for accountants like me—because I know the struggles, the long innings, and the setbacks. But I also know that with the right tools, accountants can go from playing catch-up to leading the scoreboard.

Warm regards,
